Aaron Lundïn Shapland. Canadian-born student, entrepreneur, and archaeologist.

Born in Calgary (Canada), Mr. Shapland spent his childhood between Calgary (AB), Kenora (ON), Muscat (Oman), Abu Dhabi and Dubai (UAE). Upon high school graduation, he studied Engineering at the University of Calgary, however soon realized that was not to be his calling. He now focuses on the archaeology of Mesopotamia and the Arabian Peninsula, based out of Toronto.

In late 2007, at the age of seventeen, he ventured into the world of business upon discovering the raw potential of the ePublishing industry. Soon after, Aaron built OpusExpo Inc. - one of the first Canadian eBook corporations - from the ground up. As President and Director of Operations at OpusExpo, he was responsible for formatting and administering the online storefront system, overseeing the editing and publishing process, designing and managing marketing campaigns, and outsourcing professional resources.

ePublishing was only the first steps, however. In addition to his graphic design work for OpusExpo, Mr. Shapland has also done freelance graphic design and website development for other individuals, businesses & organizations. These works include websites, logos, and corporate identity packages (learn more in the Web Design tab below).

Mr. Shapland has lived in Canada, Oman, and the United Arab Emirates, and in his spare time – apart from traveling – he enjoys playing the bagpipes, tennis, reading, creative writing, and attending the Calgary Stampede in the summer.
